Story
Sadly on Christmas Day 2016 our friend and fellow Club
member, Leslie Murray, passed away, aged 57. Despite being in ill health for some time, Les was always known for his “live life to the full” attitude, and that included getting out and driving his beloved Porsche 993.
When Les, with his wife Alison, joined Porsche Club GB they found friends to share this passion with. These friends would now like to commemorate Les’ life on a memorial drive.
In his memory, we would like to honour Les in making this
memorial drive a fundraiser for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
Many fellow Club members were unaware that Les had suffered
from the condition Cystic Fibrosis and that following a transplant he became the first heart and lung transplant patient to run the Great North Run, when he was 31.
The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is a charity that works towards a brighter future for everyone with cystic fibrosis, by funding cutting-edge research and supporting people with the condition and their loved ones.
If you would like to join us on the drive in your own
Porsche please email r3@porscheclubgb.com, all we ask is that you make a small donation to The Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
