Hi Everyone!

You may be wondering why I chose to fundraise for AlexTLC. As some of you may know I have been diagnosed with Addisons disease for 3 years. About a month back I visited my geneticist who diagnosed me with Adrenomyeloneuropathy which is a type of adult onset Leukodystrophy that affects the spinal cord and in some people, affects the brain. I have chosen to do this Kiltwalk as a personal challenge and to raise money for a great charity.

Established in 2004, Alex TLC is the only charity in the UK that provides invaluable support and information for anyone with a leukodystrophy, their families, and carers. Leukodystrophies are rare genetic disorders that mainly affect the white matter of the central nervous system (ie the brain or spinal cord). They affect people of all ages and backgrounds, most notably children. Your support makes our work possible.
