Snowdonia Charity Challenge · 29 November 2007

Regain is the only charitable organisation dedicated solely to improving the independence of all British men & women who have become tetraplegic as a result of a sporting or leisure accident. A tetraplegic is unable to walk and has limited reach & dexterity because use of the arms is severely impaired.

Story

Hi everyone and welcome to our fundraising page.

We have stupidly signed up to complete a triathlon......which will involve a 20 mile bike ride up and down the hills of Snowdonia, running up and down Snowdon, another 20 miles on the bike (with some steep off-roading sections, argggggghhhhh!) and 2.5 miles canoe across Lake Padarn.

We are following a tough training programme for the next 6 months (which includes less drinking?!?!) and we hope to finish in good time.   All we need now is your support.........in the form of sponsorship.

We all have a love of the outdoors, are committed to achieving a healthy lifestyle, and we love exercise.   The people we are raising money for were just the same as us, until they suffered a serious spinal cord injury and are now paralysed from the neck down and completely reliant on others.   It's hard to imagine how they cope with their lives - but they do, with help from others.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Regain - The Trust For Sports Tetraplegics will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support.

Katie (its between her and the mountain), Anna (was bullied into it), Hannah (competitive rottweiler), Jo (in it to win it).
