I've been working as a Chaplain at the Royal Derby Hospital for four years now, working a lot with patients living with dementia. During that time, I have had the chance to work alongside the Dementia Key Workers who so all sorts of activities with patients, helping them stay engaged and entertained, delivering better health outcomes and ensuring that the patients stay isn't too stressful and experience. 

A while back, one of my grandparents who has dementia spent time in another hospital which didn't offer anything like this - I feel like she could really have benefited from the kind of inputs that they offer.

They are AWESOME, but their work requires quite a lot of resources (from craft materials to music, and from jigsaws to nail polish!) so I want to do something to help fund their work.

Tough Mudder is a 10 mile mud run, including 20 obstacles that feature ice water, electric shocks and barbed wire! I've been training for it for a year and a half.
