We’ve set ourselves a challenging 2018 fundraising target of £40,000 for a new research vehicle. Research vehicles are essential to the daily life of the conservancy and a new one is urgently needed.

They provide a huge amount of functions: Security patrols, ear notching rhinos, helping dart animals that need treating, assisting in building infrastructure, wildlife checks, personnel transportation, basically everything.

It will be branded Lewa Next Gen and we’ve got some pretty exciting ideas around how we can all follow our research vehicle on its daily duties.

Throughout the year we will be arranging events to raise money to get to our target, including Supper Clubs, Marathon Teams and the inaugural Christmas Party.
