We have challenged ourselves to continually lap the 1.5 mile route around Ruislip Lido for three hours with a 40lb Burgan completing as many laps as possible. We are doing this on 6th September between 12-3 along with a fun day and would encourage others to do their bit by also completing a lap. Go to www.hillingdon.gov.uk/help4heroes to enter.

We knew that we wanted to do something for charity and while we don't have the bottle to go to the front line ourselves we want to make sure that the people who do get the respect and support they deserve. We have lots of friends in the armed forces serving on the front line. While this event doesn't compare with challenges our friends face we hope that it will help raise money and awareness of their bravery and sacrifices that have been made.

As a Sergeant instructor in the Army Cadet force this is our chance to do a little something for the heroes that are doing it for real.

We would like to thank Hillingdon council for making our challenge and fun day possible and providing the resources to make it happen.
