I am running the 2023 Manchester marathon in memory of my best friend who sadly passed away in June of last year. I have chosen to raise money for SASH (a youth homelessness charity), as it is a charity that helped Alice out when she was in need. Alice was a wonderful, funny and kind individual and she will be deeply missed by all who knew just how amazing she was. This event is for her and any donations are welcomed, it would be amazing if I could reach my £600 target or even surpass it. 

I first met Alice in Year 7 when she joined Archbishop Holgate’s and from then on we were always friends, going on a school trip to Florence in Year 9 and creating unforgettable memories over the years. We even ended up in the same city at university, where we continued making memories for life. Alice was a kind hearted soul and her passing has made me want to do this for her and a charity that was close to her heart. All these memories will be with me forever, and I will never forget just how much better my life became when we became friends.

The marathon will take place on Sunday 16th April, and donations are welcome before and after the event has taken place, in order to raise as much as possible for an amazing cause, that has helped many young people.
