Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Please take a bit of time to read through what I am doing and why I am doing it! I am passionate about this!

I have always been an active person and have been brought up enjoying the outdoors and appreciating what this beautiful country has to offer us. I have spent many family holidays on the coast of the UK and have enjoyed the ocean and its marine life since my childhood.

Unfortunately, our oceans are being threatened by a formidable enemy... YOU, me, in fact, all of us!

• We dump 6.4 million tonnes of litter into the sea every year!
  
• Approx. 8 million individual pieces of marine litter enter the sea EVERY DAY
  
• A plastic bottle discarded on a beach today could persist in the marine environment for 450 years!
• Over the past 15 years, the amount of litter washing up on UK beaches has almost doubled
• Plastic litter on beaches has increased 140% since 1994
• 1 million seabirds and 100,000 marine mammals die annually from ingestion of and entanglement in marine litter
• 94% of Fulmars in the North Sea had ingested Plastic.

I am the director of a sustainable Skateboard and Surfboard company called Oath UK. We work in partnership with some amazing organisations that help us manufacture more sustainable and eco-friendly boards.

I can barely Skateboard these days, and as much as I try to get better, I struggle due to my weight and fitness.

Also, just having launched our first surfboards here in the UK, I am ashamed to say I can't really surf!

So I have set myself a challenge! I am going to lose weight and improve my fitness, as well as having surf lessons from Oath Surf Team rider Huw Bentley.
The target is for me to surf competitively in this years Jesus Surf Classic competition in Polzeath, Cornwall on 17th October 2015.

I will be posting weekly video blogs, documenting my progress and keeping myself accountable to the world!
