24 hour bike ride · 19 September 2020

Alzheimer’s Research UK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity. We’re striving for a cure, by revolutionising the way we treat, diagnose and prevent dementia.

Story

Hiya,

On the 19th September 2020 I am going to be undertaking a 24 hour bike ride, starting from the Wirral and aiming for Edinburgh which is 246 miles.

I am doing this to raise money and awareness for Alzheimers Research UK as this is a charity which is very important to me and my family. My granny has been suffering with vascular dementia for several years and I want to do my bit to raise money for one of the main charities researching a cure/treatment for this disease. Dementia is a disease that slowly disconnects your loved one from society and eventually their family which is something that is truly heartbreaking to witness; but hopefully with more research its effects will become less and less.

I would really appreciate any donation you can make so that we can move in the right direction to reduce the impact of Alzheimers, in all its forms.
