Story
When I entered the ballot on a whim, I didn’t imagine I would be lucky enough to secure a place for the London Marathon in 2023, but here we are and I have been training since November. As many of you know I am an avid runner so to make this more of a challenge I have set myself an ambitious target time of 3 hrs 20 mins to complete my first ever marathon.
As I have a ballot place I don’t need to fundraise BUT I did want to set myself a challenge and raise a few pounds in the process.
I have chosen the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance. As a family we have been very grateful for their support in the past, as they saved Emma’s dad’s life in 2018 when he suffered a massive heart attack whilst out on his bike.
It costs over £16.6M a year to sustain KSS Air Ambulance’s world-leading, cutting edge, innovative service and amazingly 87% is donated. Your donation means KSS can continue to provide the best care at the worst of times for their patients, and stay at the forefront of pre-hospital critical care. For more information on the vital work of KSS, please visit aakss.org.uk
