Wessex Heartbeat supports the work of the Wessex Cardiac Centre to provide the best care for patients with heart conditions. We provide the latest specialist equipment and major facilities for patients, relatives and staff to ensure the highest quality of care for > 20,000 patients treated annually.

Story

We are taking on the challenge of getting around the Isle of Wight (100km) in under 24 hours.

We will be raising money in support of Wessex Heartbeat, a charity that has had a huge influence on our close friend, Alex. Wessex has been there for Alex helping him through a multitude of testing times.

In Al’s life, he has gone through 4 open heart surgeries, the first being when he was 14 months, the second at age 7, the third at 17 and the most recent at 20 years old. Thanks to the fantastic work of Wessex Heartbeat, Alex has been able to stay in the young adults cardiac ward for his last two surgeries, the environment Wessex provided has benefitted Alex massively as it provides a home from home while going through surgery.

For the great work that Wessex Heartbeat has done for Alex and continue to do for young people in need, we would love to do what we can to give back.

Any support would be greatly appreciated.

We have had to reschedule due to the Covid-19 Pandemic to saturday 29th of August
