Mary’s Meals is a global movement that sets up school feeding programmes in communities where poverty and hunger prevent children from gaining an education. The charity now feeds more than 2.6 million children every school day and it costs just £19.15/€22.00 to feed a child for a year.

Story

Hello everyone!

Thank you for checking out my JustGiving page :)

This year, as a personal challenge, I'm running the Loch Ness Marathon to raise (hopefully) a little bit of money for Mary's Meals.

Mary's Meals are a fantastic charity who believe that every child should receive a meal in a place of education. They currently provide well in excess of 1 million children a year with a meal across 12 different countries and, hopefully, my target of £500 will help aid that a little bit more! More information on them can be found here https://www.marysmeals.org.uk/.

My work, TEFL Org UK, have very kindly sponsored my entry to the event in our continued fundraising efforts for Mary's Meals - who are our Charity of the Year.

On a personal note, it will also mark just over a year since I gave up alcohol so I thought it would be a fitting achievement to celebrate that (and an incentive to quit smoking as well)!

Anyway, I know money's tight for us all but if anyone could spare a few quid then I would totally appreciate it :)

Lewis x

Ps. That's my best friend Ellis in the photo - she's not running the race but I like the photo and didn't want to cut her out of the pic ;)
