Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Hello! My name is Lewis and last month completed my challenge of running 100 miles in August. I made the challenge a bit more difficult by not including any miles on a treadmil and only counting the first decimal point of the milage. This challenge is to raise money and awareness for The Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association. This charity is very close to me because they helped my Nan battle with this disease for 4 years after her diagnosis. She recently lost her battle on the 5th July 2022. The association did their very best to help my Nan, so I want to try my best to try and help them! MND has started to be a bit more recognised, although it is rare, it is still a very devistating disease. MND is something that truly needs to be defeated. There are lots of people that are doing some amazing and genuinely inspirational challenges to raise money and awareness for MND. The efforts that people are going to in aid of MND just shows how much this disease NEEDS to be beaten and cure is found. I figured any little amount of help that I can give is better than none. I have been inspired by everyone who is doing sponsored events for MND. Being from Gloucester I have been influenced by the efforts of the rugby and all they have done for Ed Slater and his family. To show my infatuation for the cause, I will be doing a 5k on my own around the rugby pitch (Kingsholm) on Wednesday the 14th September. This run will also be my starting miles for #MISSION5000. I will also be doing lots of other fundraising events for the MND Association in the near future, until the association breaks through and finally beats this disease! I would like to thank everyone who has sponsored me so far on Facebook and any further donations towards my running or directly to MND Association will be very much appreciated!
Thank you 💙🧡💙🧡
