In 2023 Owen spent a few weeks at Birmingham Children's Hospital, having a few operations and a lot of strong IV antibiotics to treat some bad headaches he was having due to a build build up around his brain. We saw what a great job the teams there do, not only medically, but to keep the children occupied and reassured at what can be a scary time for them. He doesn't need any extra encouragement to get out on his bike, but when we saw this summer challenge we knew he had to do it and raise some money from the hospital.
