This year sees the 100th Birthday of Lewis Earl, who fought in WW2 and is a Dunkirk Veteran in the 91st Field Regiment, 5th Infantry Division. He served alongside his lifelong friend Joe Clark, in Egypt, Madagascar, India, The Middle East and Italy.

Lewis was born in Bermondsey and moved to West Sussex in the late 1950s with his wife Doris and children, Stewart and Wendy. He has 5 Grandchildren and 5 Great-Grandchildren.
