Story
As I sit and write this short description of why I am taking part in this cycling event, having just dusted the bike off after nearly a year, realising there are less than 2 weeks to the event and feeling really thoroughly unfit. I can't quite help but think, "why did I sign-up for this?!" However, this thought quickly leaves my mind as remember what a worthwhile cause the event is.
I am taking part in the Tour de Bristol (only 40km route) to raise money for St Peter's to help them continue to care for patients and their families in Bristol. St Peter's provided excellent service for my late grandfather and this is only a small token of my appreciation for them.
It also helps that I'm taking part in the event with my Dad (thus the late sign-up), so I'm hoping I can save some energy in his slipstream!
If you could spare a few pounds for the Hospice that would be greatly appreciated. I'm sure you'll agree it's an extremely worthwhile cause.
Many thanks,
Lewis
