Story
2020/21 has been a difficult time for everyone, full of uncertainty, loss and missed opportunities for making memories with friends and family.
During this time the demand for RISE services increased 3x throughout lockdown, and demand for their services has remained high ever since.
RISE provides crisis accommodation for women and children escaping domestic abuse. This is by way of a refuge - which is a secure and confidential address where people receive specialist support from staff trained to work with women and children affected by domestic abuse. Their refuge has room for 15 families in urgent need.
RISE's LGBTQ+ service for survivors of domestic abuse was the first in England, and we also provide one of the few dedicated LGBTQ+ refuge and support services.
Through donating, you can help to support RISE and allow them to continue their crucial and lifesaving work.
