Campaign by Centrepoint (RCN 292411)
Over 118,000 young people in the UK face homelessness—but together, we can change this. Join us at Somerset House on 6 February to help end youth homelessness. Challenge yourself for one night so no young person has to face homelessness alone.

Story

I'm sleeping rough for a night.

Don't worry, it's for charity. If I'm being honest, I'm a little anxious about it. Nothing prepares you for the bite of a winter night, or sitting in deafening silence while London continues to rumble. For most of us, life is manageable (if you're being honest with yourself). But we all know life can throw some really unfair curveballs our way which may sometimes mean a person has to face homelessness.

Here's a hard truth about homelessness.

Over 354,000 people are currently homeless in England — including 161,500 children. This statistic is over a year old.

Just last week, I saw a child (no older than 16) hunched up in a carpark at night in -2c temperature with just a jacket for protection. An ambulance was called for them, they were desolate, shivering and to be truthful they looked defeated.

So, I'm asking one small thing from you. I know January is a tough, long month, but if you're able to donate in support as I brave a cold night to raise funds for kids that really need some help, it would be great to make a difference.

I'm partnering with Kerv and Centrepoint, a UK youth homelessness charity, to raise funds for children who are homeless in the UK. I have a fundraising target of £350 to hit before February 6th.

You can donate as much or as little as you want to my Centrepoint Giving Page here.

I'll be providing updates as we get closer to the date. Thanks so much for reading if you got this far, and thanks for donating if you do.
