Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity. Our nurses, called Admiral Nurses – who we continually support and develop – provide life-changing care for families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease.

Story

Me and my Pap have been very close ever since I was born. The first ever house I lived in was his. Even though he did give me pure squash to drink once (No whiskey involved 😂) He was a brilliant and loving man He had 2 dogs called Oscar and Webster that sat by my high chair and waited for any food that fell off, But me being me I ate all the food and dropped nothing.

My first ever Christmas was at his house when I was 8 months old then spent every Christmas with him from wherever I lived that day until 2017 when he became ill with dementia, and Christmas has never been the same since.

He was cared for and loved in Ashurst Mews (Moulton) Care home. He was visited by my family and relatives and the staff were fantastic until the moment he passed away when we couldn’t be there to say goodbye, but were wonderful and sent flowers which was a beautiful gift.

I’m not actually walking from London to Paris as we’re in a Pandemic. But I  will be walking the distance of it which is 234 miles. I will be walking this around my home town and have set a target to do it in 2 months. I will post my progress on my instagram, Facebook and just giving  pages.

Any donation is massively appreciated and will help loads to fight dementia to hopefully find a cure.
