Story
A year ago, instead of cutting my hair, I decided to continue to grow it so that I could chop it off and donate it to the Little Princess Trust, which is a charity that makes wigs for poorly children. These are children who have lost their hair through treatments, such as chemotherapy. As a parent, I can't even comprehend what it would be like to have a poorly child; so if donating my hair will help just one child feel a bit more normal in everyday life, then thats a start.
I'm booked in to donate 12inches of hair on the 4th July.
I wanted to raise money for Cancer Research UK at the same time because at some point in your life, you will either encounter cancer first hand or know someone who has been affected by cancer.
My Dad had bowel cancer in 2014 and thankfully (so so thankful) he survived with an operation and chemo.
But some are not so lucky. I've lost my beloved Grandad to cancer, and also my Great Auntie.
Two of my best friends have lost their Dads to cancer. I can't even imagine how absolutely heartbreaking this would be..
If cancer hasn't affected you or anyone you know, that is amazing and I truly hope it never does. But for some, or most, it will creep into their lives somehow and change them and their families forever.
So if you would like to support Cancer Research UK, or support me chopping a FOOT of hair off!! Then please contribute what you can as every little helps xx
