Apparently I'm going to be 40 next year and to celebrate and because I love a challenge, I'm taking on three challenges in 23 days this Autumn for the wonderful charity I have the privilege to work for.

First up on 11th September I'll be hiking up Snowdon at night to watch the sun rise.  We'll begin our challenge at 2.45am and follow the Pyg track in the dark to reach the summit.  For someone as accident prone as I am, I probably should have left this one to last!

The next two are the toughest and the ones that have been taking up my time training wise. 

A week after Snowdon I'll be taking on the 2 mile Swim Serpentine event.  Having only just completed a 6 week breast stroke to front crawl course and just discovered open water swimming, the prospect of swimming two miles is terrifying but I'm incredibly stubborn and will get to that finish line even if it takes all day!  

Last up, two weeks later is the big one...  I'm finally running the London Marathon!  After 17 years of failed attempts at the ballot, a broken foot a month before running in 2016, this is it...  Training has been slow and far tougher than it was five years ago but I am so excited to line up on the start line with my fellow #TeamShootingStar runners.
