Thousands of disabled children are left isolated at home, excluded from everyday life, and dependent on their loved ones so let’s Power Up and make a difference to their lives.

Story

I'm back again, this time pushing 10K. ( For Whizz Kidz)

I've challenged myself to do 10K and raise double money this year.. Ya'll already know how lazy I am with exercising so pleaseee donate. I'm not dying at the finish line just for £150. Help me raise a lot more. Lets keep the kids whizzing!

I've witness how impactful the charity is towards young disabled user and I'm living proof of how the charity has supported me to reach my potential.

What Your  Donations Will Do

Your help gives disabled children a chance so that no child grows up feeling helpless and being reliant on others.

  • £4 could enable a Whizz-Kidz staff member to provide a face to face briefing for a work place buddy, whose dedicated assistance nurtures a young disabled person's skills and confidence.
  • £7 could pay for a disabled child to receive four hours of wheelchair skills training, providing vital skills and confidence in using their new equipment safely and independently.
  • £15 covers the cost of maintaining and repairing a disabled child's powered chair for six months, lifting the financial burden of keeping the wheelchair in good order from a low income family.

  • £27 could pay for a nurse to attend a Whizz-Kidz residential camp, catering for the complex medical needs of up to 10 disabled young people - giving them the chance to learn independent living skills and socialise with friends.

My background story with the charity

I've been involved with whizz -Kidz ever since I was in primary school, attending their holiday wheelchair training session at a local school. I already knew a lot about my wheelchair and how to handle situation out in public however my Physio said it would be great for someone my age to be role model towards others who attend.. She was right in most cases but I learned to share my skill and confidence towards the younger generation. I'm all about that!

Since that day I helped out with many wheelchair training days for years then got into attending and helping out at ambassador club. Ambassador clubs taught me that no matter how small or big an issues is that in my borough it can get resolved by writing and contacting the right people. This was really inspiring to me because I realise before hand there's so many unresolved issues that other disable users at ambassador clubs faces daily and they hardly have anyone in their area to speak up for them because many lack the confidence or was unable to voice their opinion clearly. Since then I knew I wanted to be one the voices for all those who was silent.

I could go on talking all day about every single event and activities I've done with whizz-Kidz but the point is Whizz-Kidz is smashing charity that provides skills to different abilities as well expensive equipment.

whizz-Kidz is that charity that  inspired me, humbled me, enable me to become the role model am I today, allowed me to see my full potential in life and be apart of something bigger than myself.
