Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!

I'm taking part in a fundraising challenge for Autism East Midlands to support the great work the charity does to help individuals living with autism and their families in the East Midlands.

As a VERY recent convert to bouldering, I’m attempting to climb and complete 5 walls at the climbing centre on 22nd October... conquering my fear of falling for charity!

If you’ve ever wanted to sponsor someone to climb the walls (or get stuck whilst trying) now’s your chance!

In all seriousness, I’m so grateful for your support in fundraising for our amazing charity of the year, Autism East Midlands who continue to play a huge role in the lives of families across the East Midlands, including Nottingham (home) and Northamptonshire (where I grew up).

What am I fundraising for?

Autism East Midlands, like many charities, has been hugely
affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Throughout the crisis they have endeavoured to continue supporting autistic adults and children throughout the region as we all adjusted to the restrictions.

Moving forward, the transition to the ‘new normal’ will be especially challenging for autistic individuals and their families and it is vital they receive targeted support. For example:

£50 could provide specialist play equipment for family
support hubs and children’s clubs

£100 could help provide specialist educational resources for
Sutherland House School in Nottingham

£200 could support the work of an employment coach to help an autistic jobseeker achieve their dreams

Thank you
