Scotty’s Little Soldiers is a charity dedicated to supporting children & young people who have experienced the death of a parent who served in the British Armed Forces. A range of programmes are provided to support their bereavement needs, well-being, education and development.

Story

Lexie and Freddie will be taking on the challenge of cycling a whopping 101 miles each around the Cotsworlds over the 3 days of August Bank Holiday weekend.

After losing Ollie in February, the charity have given support to the girls and they will continue be there for them in the future. Lexie decided that she would like to raise money to support their work in return. With her BFF at her side evey step of the way who better to take on the challenge with (plus Mr S for race support, safety and morale).

Everyone will know why 101 miles were chosen in memory of Lexie’s dad Ollie, the original VC10 Geek! The cycle will be starting at LXX Squadron (Ollie’s last post) and fittingly the 101 miles will finish at 101 Squadron at RAF Brize Norton.
