Story

Four firefighters from Ormskirk Fire Station are taking in the Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service's 24 hour treadmill challenge.

On Monday 21 December, starting at noon, the four of us will be competing against another seven teams in a challenge to see which team can run the furthest. The winners will receive a blaze bear teddy bear!

We will be running on a treadmill outside the engine house doors and adhering to COVID secure practices.

We are doing this to raise money for the Fire Fighters Charity who provide help and support for injured firefighters and their immediate support.

About the charity

The Fire Fighters Charity offers specialist lifelong health & wellbeing support for the UK fire & rescue community, empowering individuals and families to achieve mental, physical and social wellbeing throughout their lives. This includes serving and retired firefighters, control and support teams.
