Story

HI Everyone,

We will be doing the 24 hour, 3 peak challenge to raise money for Naomi House & Jacksplace hospices.

The National 3 Peaks challenge is one of the iconic
walking challenges in the UK. The challenge involves walking up (and down!) the 3 highest summits in Scotland, England and Wales, namely Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Yr Wyddfa (sometimes called Snowdon); all within 24 hours, including driving between each mountain.

The 3 Peaks Challenge is not one to be underestimated, a
good level of fitness is necessary as well as the bloody mindedness to keep going when sleep deprived, tired and hungry.

The total distance walked is estimated at 42 kilometres
(26 mi) or 44 km (27 mi), with a total ascent of 9,800 feet
(3,000 m)

Naomi House & Jacksplace hospices provide expert hospice care to hundreds of life-limited and life-threatened children, young people and their extended families from Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset, Berkshire, West Sussex, Surrey and the Isle of Wight. Our vision is that every child, young person and their families receive the care services they need, when and where they need them and for as long as needed. That's why we need your help. Every donation, no matter how big or small, can make a difference.

About the charity

Naomi House & Jacksplace hospices provide 24 hour care to more than 360 life limited and life threatened children and young adults from across central southern England. We offer respite, community, emergency, end of life and post bereavement care on good days, difficult days and last days.
