Story

Hi Everyone!

As some of you know, I've been working with Mending Kids on developing an ENT surgery partnership in Mwanza, Tanzania.  We have been three times since November 2016 to train resident and faculty surgeons and provide surgeries for children who would otherwise not be able to afford care.   Next weekend I'll be joining the Mending Kids team to run a 5K, and all funds I raise will go toward our work in Tanzania to support surgical training and humanitarian surgery.  Any donation is much appreciated and will directly impact lives of providers and patients!

About the charity

Mending Kids provides free life-saving surgical care to sick children worldwide while advancing education and training towards self-sufficiency in their own communities. For over 10 years, thousands of children have received surgeries that have given them a chance at longer, healthier and happier lives. Most of the surgeries we perform are to correct congenital heart defects, orthopedic abnormalities, severe scoliosis, and significant cranial facial deformities. Mending Kids has provided free care to children in over 63 countries, including the U.S.
