Running for Lacey · 1 September 2020

1 in 125 babies are born with CHD. CHSF supports Leeds Congenital Heart Unit, it's patients and their families. We fund lifesaving equipment, parent accommodation, staff training, and a family support service. 100% donor-funded, we can only do this with your help. Empowered lives, because of you.

Story

My 9 year old daughter Lacey is due to have a second heart operation in a few weeks time to correct Trilogy of Fallot a serious congenital heart defect following her first operation which she had at 14 months old.

Lacey is a strong, bubbly and dare I say it loud child, she is also loving and caring, I want to challenge myself to help raise as much as possible for the Children's Heart Surgery Fund which specifically goes to funds helping the likes of Lacey and other patients and families who go through similar heart operations during their stay, the work they do is fantastic and its a little way of saying thank you to them.

I am therefore planning to run a total of 100 miles over a number of smaller runs across the next 6 weeks. The first mile will include Lacey running with me.

Any support/donations would be much appreciated by me and Lacey.
