Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.
Having lost my uncle Jonathon in November 2020 to heart disease at the age of 59, it really put into perspective for me of how short life can be. With so much negativity around us today I am challenging myself and will be running the London Marathon 2021 raising money for the British Heart Foundation and I'd be so grateful for your support.
The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives and it’s hard to find someone that hasn’t had friends or family affected by some kind of heart disease. Whilst at university I was very proud to establish links with BHF raising money when and where we could to support this amazing charity.
After picking up running at the start of the year to try and keep fit completing a few 10km runs I wanted to challenge myself to a more extreme distance to really push myself physically and mentally. I am very grateful that BHF was able to offer me a place in the London Marathon 2021 team.
I know it’s very strange times at the moment but I really appreciate any donation you are willing to make.
