Hello everyone and a warm welcome to my JustGiving page.

My name is Liam Godbold and I am currently a Year 6 teacher in Ipswich. Since joining my current school, I have been appointed as the reading advocate. This means that it is my role to promote the love of reading across the school. This is a role that has brought me great joy and I love embracing new challenges.

As a child, I was never one to buy and read books but since becoming a teacher I have thoroughly enjoyed diving into the world of reading and have currently read over 50 books by a variety of different children’s authors.

In order to raise the profile and enjoyment of reading further across Cliff Lane, I have decided to sign up for the Great East Run. This is a 13.1 mile event that will take place across Ipswich on Sunday 26th September 2021 and will be my first ever running event. I have chosen to run this race in the hope that I will be able to raise some money to support our library. The gratefully received donations will be put towards fantastic new books for the school as well as also investing in comfortable and durable furniture to ensure the library is an inviting and inspirational place for all to cosy up with a good book and dive into another world of adventure
