Story

Hi everyone,

I am writing to share Elaine’s story and invite you all to be a part of a special journey I am about to take on. In dedication of my dear friend's mum, who is currently on end-of-life care, I have decided to participate in a White Collar Boxing match to honour her life and the impact she has made on so many as well as to raise funds for a cause close to my heart.

Elaine is not only a pillar of strength in her family but also touched the lives of everyone around her with her kindness, love, and unwavering support. Her battle with illness has been challenging for all of her friends and family, especially Molly and Megan who she has raised to be two beautifully, talented, considerate, thoughtful, strong and life of the party people, but it has also inspired me to take action and do something meaningful in her memory.

On 9th December 2023, I will step into the boxing ring to take part in a White Collar Boxing match. For those unfamiliar with the concept, it involves non-professional individuals like myself training rigorously to fight in a charity boxing event. This unique experience will push me physically and mentally, symbolising the fight against illness that Elaine has endured with incredible courage.

How You Can Help:

Im requesting your support to make a difference in the lives of those facing the difficult journey of end-of-life care. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will go directly to Cancer Research, enabling them to continue their vital work and support other families in need.

I will be sharing updates on my training progress, thoughts, and feelings throughout this transformative experience.

With your generous support and the memory of my friend's mum in my heart, I am determined to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others facing similar hardships. Together, we can ensure that end-of-life care remains compassionate and supportive for all those in need.

Your support will help turn a challenging time into a celebration of life and love.

Liam
