Challenge Himalayas 2018 · 8 March 2018

Founded under the Patronage of Nelson Mandela, Laureus Sport for Good uses sport as a powerful and cost-effective tool to help children and young people overcome violence, discrimination and disadvantage in their lives through a global network of partners in the Sport for Development community.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In March 2018, myself and 99 others from around the world will take on over 50km by foot of the Indian Himalayas to raise money for Laureus Sport for Good Foundation.

I’ll be spending over 8 hours a day on my feet, camping in the remote mountain range and ascending over 2,700 metres.

I have set a target of £750 which provides sufficient funding to provide 50 disadvantaged children in India the opportunity to engage in education and sport for one year.

Funding breakdown examples are as follows:

1 child for 3 months [£5]
1 child for 6 months [£10]
1 child for 1 year [£20]
2 children for 1 year [£30]
5 children for 1 year [£80]
10 children for 1 year [£165]

All money raised will go directly to Laureus Sport for Good Foundation and will help in the funding of equipment, training and volunteers to build a sustainable programme through Magic Bus (one of the hundreds of brilliant projects Laureus Sport for Good Foundation supports).
