Story
The Covid-19 pandemic has us all sitting at home but it is having a catastrophic effect on UK's charities because thousands of events have been cancelled which means them losing billions of pounds.
The Virgin Money London Marathon alone, which should have taken place on Sunday, 26 April, is the biggest one-day fundraising event , which raised more than £66.4 million for thousands of charities in 2019. Many of these charities have had to reduce or stop services at a time when vulnerable people need them the most. I know that this storm will past but only if we all work together. Captain Tom Moore is putting us all to shame with his phenomenal fundraising for the amazing NHS and he has inspired me to do my bit.
As we cannot go watch the London Marathon this year, I am going to do 26 different sporting activities, each for 26 seconds on the 26 April (photographic evidence will be provided). I would like my effort to help the Guide Dogs charity because it is a charity close to my heart and they do amazing work helping blind or partially sighted people in the UK.
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page and I would like to ask, if possible, you could donate £2.60 (see the theme?) or any amount you can please, to this very worthy cause.
