Story
Hi! My name is Liam I am 13 years old and I have been a Cadet at the Bridge of don Sea Cadets for the last 3 years. Sea Cadets has giving cadets like me real opportunity to gain life skills both on and off the water. Cadets at BOD Sea Cadet Unit are able to gain recognised boating, first aid and Marine engineering qualifications. We also have opportunities to attend offshore voyages and various training weekends to develop our skills. The Sea Cadets Unit at BOD is run by some pretty cool 😎 volunteers that are highly experienced and qualified. The Unit leaders and our committee members enable our unit to Operate and provided the cadets with loads of fun, without them there would be no Sea cadets. The Unit Offer Young people the chance to Experience life and meet new people a change from the norm. We are really close unit and encourage each other to reach our goals and most of all have fun!
So to raise funds for our unit I am cycling across Scotland from the west coast finishing on the east coast in Aberdeen 🚲🚲
I start my journey at Oban cycling up to Fortwilliam. From there I shall then cycle the Great Glen way into Inverness. From Inverness I shall cycle through the Cairngorm National Park to Aviemore where i will then walk through the hill pass known as the Lairig Ghru reaching Linn of Dee. Finishing off with a final bike ride from Braemar into Aberdeen on the Deeside way. I shall travel over 300 miles in the hope to raise money for our unit.
I am doing this cycle as I would like to help raise funds towards a much needed new mini bus to help our unit transport cadets to the various activities that we do. Without our mini bus we would be unable to attend Peterhead during our boating season, and travel to other courses/activities and competitions throughout the UK. 👍🚌🚌 we would welcome any donations to help us towards our target! Please help our Unit
