Story

So, here it is....the (very low res) photographic evidence that I ran the Edinburgh Half Marathon on Sunday 16th March 2008 to raise money for Tommy's, the baby charity.

I finished the 13.1 miles along the Firth of Forth coastline in 2 hours and 22 minutes...not exactly breaking the land speed record, but most definitely a personal best.
It was hard work, but all of your support was most welcome and really helped me cross that finish line. Special thanks must go to Harry for turning up at the 10th mile marker unexpectedly to give me a high five, and to Dundee United for their valiant effort on the same day in the cup final!

If you have not donated yet, it is not too late.....so please dig deep and sponsor me online with whatever funds you can manage. All contributions are gratefully received. Using Just Giving means that all the lovely cash you have donated, or are about to donate, will still be sent electronically to my nominated charity Tommy's. If you are a UK taxpayer, Justgiving will add an automatic 28% bonus to your donation at no cost to you.

Tommy's is the baby charity which funds research into the causes and prevention of miscarriage, premature birth and still birth. We all know someone close who has been touched by the terrible sadness that losing a baby can bring. In the UK alone, 11 babies are stillborn and 550 women experience miscarriages every day.

Please join me in supporting Tommy's, and making a difference.

Thank you so so much for your support - you are all very kind.

Very best
