Team: Libbie's Hadrian's Wall Challenge

In memory of Valerie Bell
This campaign will lay the foundations for human trials of a pioneering therapy for Motor Neurone Disease (MND). The fatal disease affects the brain and nerves and causes weakness over time. There is currently no cure for the condition.

Story

I have always wanted to walk Hadrian's Wall and now aged 79 I've committed to this challenge. I'll be walking the 84 miles in 10 stages and I'm walking in aid of two charities. The first is Motor Neurone Disease which is a charity that is now more well known through Doddie Weir, however my elder son's mother in law sadly died of this disease. I'm walking in aid of Valerie Bell. The second charity is St. George's Church Jesmond. I'm an active member of the church choir and have been since my husband passed away in 2006. The church organ was completed in1887 by the famous British organ builder T. C. Lewis, and is now in need of a full restoration. This is a complex, bespoke project, and needs a team of highly qualified artisans.
