Thanks to everyone who sponsored us for the London Bupa 10k 2012. Just letting you all know we did it! It was 31C in London and a tough day for running, or in my case walking but we all pushed ourselves and managed to finish in the times we wanted to. :) x

Only a few days now until the big race. We've had a few casualties with Fiona having to pull out on health grounds and Kay having to take it easy due to breaking her toe. I (Libby) am not as fit as I'd like to be so no records are going to be broken here. Theresa and Nicky are the only two who seem to be fighting fit for race day. Whatever happens on Sunday we will all be trying our best to make our sponsors proud and raise as much as possible for JDRF and getting closer to finding a cure for Type 1 Diabetes. Thanks to everyone for the great support we've had so far. :) x

Thanks for recent donations. Need more sponsors. Training resumed for most of us-weather isn't making it too much fun.

Training is going well from Fiona and Theresa but I'm still taking it slowly just now. Thanks for all the offline pledges and donations too. :) x

We need another £455 to run for the charity. We've already got £595 from some of our friends and family but need that extra bit more to make our training worthwhile. Please make your donation by clicking on our link. Thank you. Libby x

Thanks for all the donations so far. It's great to see the amount growing and know that you all want to help us. Thanks also to everyone who has pledged money too - can't do it without your generosity and support. xxx

Ladies are training well. I'm resting this weekend with a lung infection (too much walking in the frosty nights) but I'll be back in action with Fiona and Theresa soon. Also thanks to my walking buddies, family and Carol Ann - great support! x

Hi Folks,

Libby,Fiona & Theresa here!

Yep! We have finally gone doolally and think we can do the London Bupa 10K........ Well we know we can do it!!! .......loads of training, laughs and all for a really good cause.

Betty Jean is Libby's daughter and she dreams of a cure for her Type 1 Diabetes in her lifetime. any money you donate will help to make her dream come true. We want to help stop children with T1 having to inject themselves up to 4 times a day and having to get 6 blood tests every day of their lives just to stay alive.

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
