The school in Nairobi’s Kiambiu slum provides free, sound education and pastoral care for some 90 children aged 2 to 9, who would otherwise receive no formal teaching. It is run by 30-year-old Kenyan Joyce Aruga, with the support of the UK-based charity. It is now aided by Tushinde, a fellow charity

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I decided to support Rossholme, Kenya as I spent a very happy time teaching at Rossholme, UK until its closure.  The headteacher, Judy Webb donated all the Rossholme uniforms to the Kenya school, which is in the slum area of Nairobi, when it opened and has been supporting it since then.

Simon and I flew into Nairobi 30 years ago on our honeymoon and saw many children, as we travelled through Kenya, who didn't have the opportunity to go to school.  Rossholme, Kenya gives the children who live in the Nairobi slums the chance of a brilliant education with caring staff.
