Run, Libby, Run

Faversham 10k · 17 September 2017 ·
I am running the Faversham 10k in September. I know a lot of you do that before breakfast, but I am not one of nature's runners. I can swim, quite well really, but on land I am ungainly and slow. I have a wonky knee, wonky ears, no sense of balance, a low centre of gravity and, I am told, a rolling gait. But, when I saw that the local 10k race in Faversham was for the CF Trust I decided I would have a bash.
As some of you know, a family member whom I love to bits has cystic fibrosis, and so this is quite personal. I want to raise a bit of cash for the CF Trust who not only provide support, advice and care for families with CF, but critically are conducting medical research, clinical trials and operate a patient database. The CF Trust funds pretty much all the scientific research into CF in the UK and they rely on donations.
So, if you can, please drop a few quid in my virtual bucket. I need all the motivation I can get, because I'm not entirely sure I enjoy this running business and apparently I am not allowed to do front-crawl.
Remember: if you see me out "training" you are only allowed to point and laugh at me gasping and blowing snot bubbles if you have donated.
Thanks x
PS - Local people, there is a CF Trust collection bucket at The Twelve Taps in Whitstable, if you want to donate the old fashioned way.
