Hever Castle · 27 September 2014

Grass-roots charity created in 1994 to help impoverished Cambodians after the Khmer Rouge atrocities. 20 years later the NKFC is responsible for the first spiritual dance troupe of Cambodia - the Sacred Dancers of Angkor - drawn from children born and trained in the heart of Angkor.

Story

I have decided to ‘do’ a triathlon at the end of this month at Hever Castle home of Ann Boleyn (http://www.castletriathlonseries.co.uk/the-series/hever-castle/).

WHY? You may ask? Well I thought a triathlon would be the perfect way to celebrate my complete recovery from breast-cancer two years ago. Plus, it is the best excuse to raise money for charity the Nginn Karet Foundation for Cambodia that most of you will know I have been supporting for years because of its inspirational success working with and giving back a sense of pride to impoverished villagers in rural Cambodia.  Please help me raise £500 in less than two weeks by sponsoring me and passing this on to everyone!!!! I’ve never done one before and am terrified! All money raised will go directly to the Foundation’s mainly educational and vocational training programs.

Please go to the website for more information: www.nkfc.org or Facebook for most recent news: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Sacred-Dancers-of-Angkor-US-Tour-2013/614629601902351
