The death of a baby or another loved one is difficult to bear at any time of the year. Yet at Christmas, with so much emphasis on children, families, sharing happy times together, those feelings of grief can often seem even more acute.
This year we are delighted to announce six venues, each holding a special Lights of Love service on Friday 10th December 2010 at 7.30pm.
Services will be held at:
St Mary's Church, 15 Upper Bridge Street, Stirling, FK8 1ES
St Anthony of Padua Queens Drive Liverpool L18 8AY
St Mary’s Church, Builth Wells, Powys
St Mark’s Church, Portadown, Co Armagh
St Peter’s Church, Nottingham
St Paul’s Church, Wilton Place, Knightsbridge, London SW1
Once again we are inviting you to sponsor a light on our Lights of Love christmas trees. You can choose to have your light and message tag at any of the six locations.
If you are unable to attend any of the services you can still sponsor a light and have a message card put on the tree on your behalf. Please contact us email: lightsoflove@uk-sands.org with the details of which tree you would like your message tag placed on. To enable us to ensure the tag is hung on the correct tree please let us know your wishes by Wednesday 8th December. We will do our best but can't guarantee that requests received after this date will be hung on the requested tree.
Sponsoring a Light of Love through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to do this and Sands gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thank you for your support.
