Having first hand dealt with M.E (chronic fatigue syndrome) myself being first diagnosed when i was 14, although symptoms first came about when i was just 12. it has taken a lot of strength, help, support and i am proud to say my own determination to be where i am today. i left school and full time education at 14 not believing i would ever have a career or be able to do all the “normal” things in life. Now i work full time as a hairdresser, something i am very passionate about. I have held my driving license since my 18th birthday, i have run a half marathon, i have been on holiday with friends & my boyfriend, i celebrated my 21st birthday, dinner with family and a night out clubbing. all things that are totally normal, that at 14 i never thought i’d be able to do. the lack of awareness and total ignorance shown towards this fluctuating illness is real, being told ‘you look normal’ ‘your not really ill’ or ‘are you not just depressed’ are all things i have heard too many times, this effects so many young people’s lives in such a devastating way. i believe with enough support and awareness we can all live the life we dream of. i am lucky. so for all these reasons i will be running the london marathon 2018 for ACTION FOR M.E ❤️

And lastly, an enormous thank you to everyone who has helped me along my journey to be where i am today. My incredible mumma, who’s love and caring way never fades and is always right there holding my hand. My second parents shelley and shauney who’s love and support has ment more then you’ll ever understand. My brother jamesy being a man doesn’t ever know what to say but no matter what he’s always there for his little sis. My best friends who are always there for a laugh or a cry whenever needed, through all the years. My boyfriend ginge, who’s given me so much happiness, smiles and love when i’ve needed it most.
