Lily-mae 's Big cut

Lily-mae Shaw is raising money for Little Princess Trust

Big snip · 20 July 2021

The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions. The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.

Story

In 2018 Lily-mae decided to donate her hair to the princess trust for the first time she had an amazing 8’ cut off to allow a child to have beautiful wig. As soon as she had completed her donation she announced that she would be growing her long hair back only to have it all cut off again to be sent to make another child’s wig. This has taken Lily-mae three long years of strict minimal trims so that she could grow her hair as long as possible. Now has come the time to have her hair cut off by Kirsty Thornhill ( Face book page Hair by Kirsty ) so that The princess trust can once again give the opportunity for anyone who needs a wig to have one that not only feels real but looks real. The average cost of a wig is £500 and Lily-mae would be over the moon to raise this amount for the little princess trust. Thank you so much to everyone who donates it really is an amazing cause and as Lily-mae’s  parents we are so immensely proud of her generosity as she is always thinking of other and this is just one example of her kindness.  X
