We are jumping from a plane at 15,000 ft to help raise vital funds for Cobalt who are aiming to raise the remaining £123,000 needed for a
state-of-the-art 3D breast cancer screening machine for the people of Gloucestershire. Set to be the first of its kind in Gloucestershire, the 3D mammography equipment will provide clearer 3D pictures of the whole breast, similar to a hologram. It has a curved compression surface, which follows the shape of the breast, making testing more comfortable for women, while also providing the chance of a more accurate diagnosis of early breast cancer. It’s hoped that the introduction of this revolutionary machine will help to drastically reduce the number of deaths from breast cancer.
