On September 26th, I will be proudly walking with and supporting Edith who is 11 years old. Edith has chosen to complete the Help for Heroes 25km Hike in Lincolnshire to raise money and awareness for Help for Heroes.

Both Edith’s Mum and Dad are Army Veterans. In 2025 after Edith’s Dad Matt left the Army, he suffered a major stroke.

As a Veterans Clinical Advisor for Help for Heroes, I have been supporting Matt and his family, alongside other veterans who have physical illness and injuries impacting their day to day life’s.

I am so honoured to be walking alongside Edith who is an incredible individual. At 11 years old she shows compassion, kindness and resilience everyday and despite her own families difficulties she has chosen to take on this challenge to raise money to help support other families.
