Story
Parkinson's robbed Ian of many years of a full and active life. It caused him considerable pain, loss of mobility and ultimately loss of his mind. It is a vicious disease with many side effects. Over a period twenty years Ian's health declined, he was unable to enjoy activities with our children in their teenage years, soon had to give up his career at the library, then his car, then socialising and ultimately became wheelchair bound.
His sharp brain and incisive wit stayed with him for longer but ultimately dementia took over and moments of clarity dwindled. He died on 4th Sept 2021 aged 74 having sustained a hip fracture from which he did not recover.
