I'm taking part in this Memory Walk in memory of my Mum, who very sadly died this time last year with very advanced Alzheimers.

I never ever realised, until I experienced it first hand, the extent to which this disease can totally devastate a person-not just resulting in them having memory loss, but in my Mum's case, a loss of all faculties. It's a heartbreaking disease that is not fully understood. Hopefully by participating in such an event I can play a small part in helping to raise funds to allow research to continue.
