Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Most folk know that I was diagnosed with Malignant Melanoma in July 2023 at 38 years old. The lesion was a freckle on my upper left deltoid that I’d had checked twice by my GP over a two year period, to be told it was dry and/or scratched. Thankfully, a third GP was concerned enough to refer me on the two week cancer pathway, and a biopsy revealed Malignant Melanoma, Stage 1B. It was removed and I am on observation for five years now. Since my diagnosis, two friends have had a similar diagnosis. Prior to my diagnosis, I knew three people personally with MM - one person stage 4. That’s six of us in my circle. Melanoma charities need all the support they can get to support people like me when cancer knocks on their door. If you are in a position to give a wee pound or two, please do. We’d be very grateful for your support.
