Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. On May 20th I completed my 10th marathon in 10 days, running the same route around lake Windermere.

A very short reflection upon finishing day 10...

I like to think I am good with words but at the moment I am struggling to find any that can describe what I have just experienced over the last 12 days. I was warned that it would change my life and they weren’t wrong!

I’ve cried happy tears, I’ve cried painful tears, I’ve cried from laughing and cried just because I could.

I’m mentally exhausted, physically tired and I’ve found an inner strength that I didn’t know I had.

I’ve learned that the most simple of gestures are the most powerful - a note on a bottle when the day was dark, an impromptu beautiful bluebell when the day was long, and a friendly hug at just the right time.

I entered his knowing nobody associated with the challenge and I left with some amazing and lifelong friends.

I have too many people to thank all at once, but I’ll make my thoughts known to you all in time.

So for now, a blanket thank you to everyone for your kind donations, your lovely words/messages and for your incredible support. To say I am humbled is an understatement.

To my fellow and past 10in10ers and the amazing support team - It’s been an honour to share this journey with you all. You are all inspirational.

This will live with me forever, and Brathay will always have a place in my heart.

Who knew running could be so powerful. So if you guys take anything away from my journey. Strap on your trainers and open the door - I promise you’ll not regret it...
