Story

My sister Nicola Jane Green  (Emsley) sadly passed away on Friday 12th June. Unfortunately Nicola was diagnosed with Gastric cancer 4 weeks ago, we was told Nicola had 12 to 18 months left to live but this just simply wasn’t to be.

Nicola was taken away from us so quickly. To say We are all devastated is an understatement and our hearts are broken beyond belief. Life has changed forever The loss is felt by everyone who knew and loved her. Nobody feels this loss more than her 5 Beautiful children Macauley, David, Jessica, Simon and Dylan.

Nicola has a loving husband, family and friends who I know all would of loved more time with her. Sadly most never even had a chance to say goodbye! Covid 19 stopped us doing a lot of things with Nicola but her time spent at John Taylor hospice although short was meaningful an she did so much! She made every minute count. Nicola even had the first lockdown wedding with more family and friends than she was allowed by her side! and Loved that she got to bend the rules one last time.

She was so well looked after and given the VIP treatment by the staff! Who were amazing throughout. Nicola always was a princess so I know she was so grateful for them helping her and us through such a hard/sad time! Because of this Nicola requested that instead of flowers she would like donation to be made To John Taylor hospice! for anyone who would like to donate (details to follow)

Nicola’s funeral is going to be held on Monday 29th June at Sutton Crematorium @ 1 o’clock.

Unfortunately due to Covid 19 only 16 people are aloud to her funeral and her immediate family already exceeds this number. Therefore if anyone would like to say goodbye to Nicola she will be having her last journey from the top of Boldmere, down towards the Sutton Park Hotel then onto Sutton Crematorium.

No one will be able to go into the crematorium apart from the selected 16 so pls BLOW HER A KISS AND SAY GOODBYE WHENEVER YOU CAN!!!

Once things go back to normal and we can socialise with more people we will hold something special for Nicola and you will all be invited to celebrate her life!

Love and Thank you all so much for your kind words/cards/flowers and calls. It means so much to us all Xxxx
